"Network Ten is another feather in our cap," he said. "We had to separately win this business with Network Ten. Our work on Big Brother certainly helped our credentials."
Hostworks will be responsible for managing the client's applications, databases, infrastructure and networking.
Bartosch said the client sought out high levels of availability and scalability. He expected to see rapid growth in the contract over the next 12 months as Network Ten heavily invests in expanding its online reach. The television station plans to launch at least 50 websites to complement its local and overseas programs.
"It [the contract] included application management expertise around the different components that Ten is taking on in terms of their applications, such as its Red Dot CMS environment and other Web applications," Bartosch said. "Our breadth of capability around applications became fairly important to support what Network Ten purports to do."
