BenQ FP92W

This is BenQ's first 19-inch widescreen LCD monitor. It features a fast 5ms response time and has a 700:1 contrast ratio, 0.2835mm pixel pitch, 300cd/m2 brightness and next-generation DVI inputs. Widescreen allows users to view two applications at the same time, which can help enhance productivity. The monitor has WXGA+ 1440 x 900 resolution for vivid and detailed imaging. Other features include a Kensington security lock, VESA wall mounting capabilities and i-Key auto adjustment to adjust image quality. It comes equipped with a VGA cable and a three-year warranty.

Sony Vaio VGN-AR28GP

Sony's latest notebook release houses a Blu-ray drive, giving users the ability to play, record and re-write Blu-ray disc media with up to 50GB, dual-layer capacity. It has a 17-inch wide LCD screen with high-definition, 1920x1200 image display. The VGN-AR28GP has an integrated Motion Eye camera that can be used for video conferencing. RAID technology allows users to quickly access content on the HDD. It comes with Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7400 (2.16GHz). The Vaio also has AV output options such as HDMI, S/PDIF and S-Video, and comes with a 12-month standard warranty.

Apple 17-inch MacBook Pro

Up to 39 per cent faster than the previous generation of notebooks, this model contains a 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, which is expandable to 3GB. It features a FireWire 800 port for connecting to high-speed peripherals. There's also a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing. Apple has enhanced Mac OS X to take advantage of dual-core processing technology, resulting in increased performance of professional applications like Aperture 1.5, Final Cut Pro 5 and Logic Pro 7. The MacBook Pro comes with a double-layer SuperDrive for burning professional-quality DVDs and contains connectivity options such as built-in 10/100/1000 BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet, AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate).

HP Photosmart Pro B9180

Based on HP's scalable printing technology, this machine has been designed specifically for professional and amateur photographers. The printer comes equipped with HP Photosmart Pro print plug-in for Adobe Photoshop, which automatically synchronises Photoshop and the printer driver for a single user interface and colour management. When used together with HP Vivera pigment inks and HP fi ne art papers, the vendor claims prints can last for about 200 years. Users can print on a range of media including canvas, watercolour, stiff pre-matte and fi lm up to 1.5mm thick. The printer can handle various printing sizes, from 3.5 x 5-inch up to 13 x 19-inch, with or without borders. The B9180 has a colour print speed of about 4ppm.

Samsung CLP-300N

Small in size, the CLP-300N colour laser printer offers low noise emission, page speeds and quality colour reproduction. Through its built-in Smart panel, it monitors the printer and toner levels to ensure users are aware of potential problems such as paper jams and low ink. Users can also use the panel to change printer settings as well as access the troubleshooting guide. It offers various printing options including N-Up (printing up to 16 pages on one sheet) and poster printing. In addition, it has a colour printing speed of up to 4ppm and a mono speed of about 16ppm. The CLP-300N offers optical resolution of 600x600 dpi and has a built-in 10/100 Base TX Ethernet interface that can be shared across networked environments.
