IT&T outfit, Techhead Interactive, has set up a Web portal for resellers that want to take on Telstra's Next G network products. Known as Techhead Mobile Connect, it offers mobile handsets, plans, wireless data cards, mobile broadband products and GPRS data as well as voice and mobility packs. It will also offer training, pre-sales and technical support.
CEO, Tim Fussell, said he had discussed opportunities in the IT channel with Telstra. The portal had been tested with partners.
"We wanted to refine it before we went large scale with it. Our objective is to build up a substantial number of local resellers to sell the Telstra products," he said.
Currently, the company has about 40 resellers. Fussell has ambitious plans to take that number into the thousands. "We're interested in any reseller than can see an opportunity to supply Telstra products into their client base," he said. "It's an opportunity for them to take telco on board and deliver a complete ICT solution."
In the New Year, Fussell plans to include fixed line and data products as well as marketing materials.
