ARN celebrated 15 years of helping to make the channel successful at its annual industry lunch earlier this month. About 100 guests attended the event, held in the private ballroom at The Establishment in Sydney.
GfK Australia managing director, Gary Lamb, gave a presentation looking at IT trends in the local retail market and used European data to support predictions about what lies ahead.
He also provided the results of an independent study GfK conducted into preferred channel information sources. From its sample, 86 per cent said they read ARN regularly and three out of four said they would choose ARN if they only received one channel publication. ARN publisher, Susan Searle, associate publisher, Jessica Ross, and IDG managing director, Don Kennedy, also spoke during the lunch.
The event finished with a pilot episode of ARN's new video series, Channel Chat, with plenty of blooper footage providing a laugh.
