XFX GeForce 7600 GT Fatal1ty Edition

The vendor claims this is possibly the fastest 7600 GT card in the world. Unlike other cards on the market, the new XFX card uses proprietary stealth heat pipe cooling technology. It runs without a standard fan but cools with more efficiency due to the passive distribution of heat from the GPU to the aluminium fins that sit behind the video card. It also features high-definition video playback with up to 1080i resolution and is Microsoft Windows Vista ready. The True High Dynamic Range Rendering supports lifelike PCIExpress graphics for quality image sharpness and clarity. Users can also double performance by adding a second card. Dual Link technology enables a digital output up to 2560 x 1600 for the largest and highest resolution flat panel displays.

LaCie FireWire speakers

According to the vendor, this is the first set of FireWire bus-powered speakers to come to market. No AC adapter or batteries are required because the built-in FireWire cable provides power. They retain a frequency response of 90Hz-20KHz. While other speakers in this class increase treble or bass to simulate sound, LaCie FireWire speakers rely on 8W minimum output for quality sound fidelity. Designed by Neil Poulton, the speakers have cables that wind up in the base to make them more transportable. They can be used in conjunction with MP3 players, PC and Mac via an included Audio Device Input Cable and come with an optional LaCie power source.
