Melbourne-based distributor, WaveLink Communications, has appointed Richard Hudson as sales manager.
He replaces Lee Lister, who previously held the role for six years.
Lister has taken up a new post as sales director with wireless asset tracking vendor, AeroScout.
Hudson will focus on developing opportunities with its existing channel partners using current and upcoming product offerings. WaveLink has 290 national partners.
"I have known WaveLink for quite some time - when I was reselling its products at Tele-IP. I will look at promoting the range and assisting the channel with taking these products into the market, while making sure the processes and procedures are in place to properly support them," he said.
"I will be ensuring our channel partners are up to speed with what is happening and that they are comfortable with the technology and solutions."
Hudson is looking at developing new sales strategies based on what partners said was working for them.
"Over the next few months there will be new products released. I'm just getting to understand what is happening, where the products fit in the market and how to best service our channel," he said.
Hudson previously spent eight years at Tele-IP as its sales manager. His resume also includes stints with Fujitsu, Alcatel, NEC and Ericsson.
