Systems integrator, Gen-i, has achieved elite partner status with networking vendor, Juniper Networks.
Owned by Telecom NZ, Gen-i now has access to enhanced market development funding and training, a dedicated account manager, a broader selection of products, better pricing and configuration sales tools.
Head of marketing and planning, Max Morison, said Gen-i had invested in training and certifying staff to get elite status. This would enable it to work closer with Juniper in key markets.
"It enforces a go-to-market relationship, rather than Juniper just being a supplier to us," Morison said. "We are looking at WAN optimisation and, as a managed service provider, help customers get the best value out of their networks."
Juniper regional vice-president, Shaun Page, said the partnership was an extension of its existing relationship with Telecom NZ.
"This relationship with Gen-i is exciting. It extends their capabilities and services they have already brought to enterprise customers," he said.
Juniper has about 15 elite partners across Australia and New Zealand.
