Epson EMP-TW700

Featuring a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), the EMP-TW700 accepts digital uncompressed signals direct from the source, such as a HD set-top box or DVD player. It is based on Epson's colour and image processing technology and is equipped with Auto Iris function. This samples the image 60 times a second and adjusts the iris opening to suit the scene. The projector offers a 10,000:1 dynamic image contrast ratio, while the energy efficient E-TORL lamp delivers 1600 ANSI lumens brightness. It comes with the vendor's patented Cinema Filter and 10-bit colour processing capabilities, giving finer adjustment and precise balance of primary colours. This multi-purpose mobile device is a phone, GPS navigation system, PDA, MP3 player and camera all-in-one. It is based on Windows Mobile 5.0, which provides access to the Internet as well as Windows Office functions such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. The A701 uses a 520MHz Intel processor and has 128MB of ROM and 64MB of RAM. Functions are activated using a stylus, and the 2.7-inch screen can be switched between landscape and portrait. Wyse Thin OS - VDI Edition

The new version of Wyse's operating system allows businesses to manage desktops from the data centre by placing a user's desktop environment in a virtual machine, hosted on an industry standard server and accessed by a thin client. The software is built on VMware's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). According to the vendor, VDI simplifies and centralises the execution of applications in the data centre, reducing costs and complexity associated with using PCs to deliver applications. The software also virtualises, optimises, and manages server resources to host and deliver secure, isolated desktops that are always on and accessible from anywhere. This helps improve security and compliance by centralising sensitive enterprise data in the data centre within isolated virtual machines.
