Services provider, UXC, has established a new division dedicated to delivering Performance Management solutions.
The business unit has 40 staff and sits underneath UXC's Business Solutions Group. It will concentrate on the company's three key business intelligence and performance platforms: Cognos, Business Objects and SAS. The division is to be headed up by Stephen Mackley.
CEO, Cris Nicolli, said the business unit was part of the company's overall plan to create integrated solutions and consulting services to customers. The Performance Management team stemmed from UXC's acquisition of business intelligence provider, QSP, several years ago, he said. Under the new arrangement, the QSP brand would represent solutions for the financial sector.
"We've seen strong demand for business intelligence and corporate performance management. Now that we have about 40 staff, we are at the point where we can run it as an individual business," Nicolli said. "This is consistent with our strategy to integrate anything with deep capabilities that clients are likely to selectively source.
"It will position us more clearly in the market and give customers an easier, simpler way of interfacing with us."
Nicolli aimed to have more than 100 staff dedicated to the division within the next 18 months. UXC would also investigate further vendor partnerships. He cited Microsoft/SAP and Hyperion as potential areas of opportunity.
The division would complement its existing subsidiaries, Red Rock Consulting, Eclipse and Oxygen, he said.
