KH Distribution general manager, Des Muller, has resigned to pursue new opportunities in management consultancy. He had been with the Queensland-based Apple distributor for 12 months.
KH was acquired by Simms International in August. Prior to that, Muller spent 11 years working with Apple. He finished on November 1.
"It has been fantastic working in the industry, but it's time to do something else," he said. "It's my decision - there are some opportunities I want to pursue. "The last 12 months at KH has been a period of significant growth. It's also been exciting working with Simms as part of its integration activity." While not giving much away, Muller said he was taking a job in management consultancy.
The general manager's position was expected to be integrated with other roles as part of a broader restructure of the Simms management ranks. "When the acquisition took place, things were left alone to ensure the two businesses continued to run. But over time, there should be some announcements made on the integration plans," Muller said. "It's too early to say at this point."
