Brisbane-based inTechnology has rounded out its security offering with the addition of Safend.
The distributor will carry the Israeli vendor's Auditor and Protector, which control data access from physical and wireless points of all endpoints including FireWire, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and disc-based media.
Director of sales and marketing, Mark Winter, assessed a number of different products before settling on the Safend range.
"We've created an endpoint security matrix that we are taking to the market," he said. "A key strategy with the Safend product is to expand our channel base into more vertical market segments such as banking, insurance and law enforcement.
"Endpoint security is going to be a very big market for us in the next 18 months."
Winter is currently formulating bundle packages. He is also planning training seminars in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for early next year. Safend vice-president of marketing and business development, Susan Callahan, said inTechnology's experience in distributing security products to corporate and SMB markets made it attractive.
In other news, inTechnology has recruited two new staff. Garren Casey has been appointed sales director for NSW and Victoria, while Jan Aabyevester is the new channel and business development manager for Melbourne.
Casey previously spent four years at D-Link as wireless product manager and technology business manager. Aabyevester was the head of product management for Danware.
