ED pair survive marathon bike ride

Hats off to Express Data duo, Ross Cochrane and Mal Shaw, who both made it back to work safely less than 24 hours after completing a 210km bike ride on October 15.

As previously reported in ARN, they had agreed to take part in the annual Around the Bay in a Day ride to raise money for The Smith Family, a charity that supports underprivileged children in Australia. Both men completed the grueling slog in about nine hours but, despite pre-race age taunts from his younger rival, word on the street is that Cochrane was first over the line.

"Just because you are old does not mean you are slow," he said. "Other than tired legs we both felt pretty good and were back in the office bright and early on Monday morning."

Donations are still coming in but the total has already topped $7000.
