Astone i-Crib

This portable speaker system has been specifically designed for first or second generation iPod nano players. It houses and recharges the nano on one side, without the sight of any messy, exposed cables. There's also an optional feature to charge the iPod whilst it is playing. The lightweight i-Crib runs on batteries or DC-power. Using three AAA batteries, it provides up to six hours worth of playing time. The system includes four high-end mini speakers, which are enhanced with lighting that doubles as a reading light. BenQ Joybook R55 V40

The R55 is BenQ's fi rst Intel Core 2 Duo notebook. It has a 15.4-inch widescreen, Microsoft Windows XP Professional and, according to the vendor, the world's fastest 16ms response time notebook panel. The laptop is fitted with an Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics processing unit and comes incorporated with Nvidia TurboCache technology, which provides optimal system performance and 256MB graphics memory. Other features include an 80GB SATA hard disk drive, 1GB DDRII Dual Channel memory and a double layer DVD dual burner. It also has built-in gigabit LAN and Bluetooth connectivity. The vendor claims this is the fi rst 2-bay NAS for SMBs in the market. The all-in-one storage device is BitTorrent-enabled so users can download movies, music and games. The 2-bay design comes with a hot-swappable disk tray, while the removable front panel makes for easy hard disk swapping. The TS-201 has a triple backup mechanism to provide highly reliable and secure data preservation. It comes with NetBak Replicator software, which supports RAID 1 mirroring backup to replicate data instantly by USB disk. It also provides remote replication to local or remote NAS by a highly efficient transfer way via the network. The device can be used as a digital multimedia sharing centre. Fujitsu LifeBook A3110

The new LifeBook A series offers two different dual-core processing platforms to provide greater processing speed and longer battery life. Sporting a 15.4-nch SuperFine LCD display, the A3110 has the capability to reproduce true-to-live images. The notebook offers brightness of 300nits and has a contrast ratio of 350:1. It comes equipped with LifeBook Shock Sensor; an advanced three-axis sensor technology designed to reduce the risk of disk drive damage. Upon detection of movement, the hard disk drive head automatically retracts to prevent the sensitive disk surface from being scratched. Acronis True Image 10 Home

This is the latest version of the vendor's file, imaging backup and restore software. It is designed for SOHO users and offers protection over the entire system by enabling users to backup specific music, photo and video files, entire applications and email files. The software includes wizard-based controls that walk users through the backup and restore process, and notifies them when it has been completed. It also creates rules to define how long stored images will be saved, location size quotas and the maximum number of backups to be saved. The software includes password protection for laptops and other remote devices, and sets policies to define when the system can create backups and the type of backup to perform. RAD IPmux-14 TDM

This is the second version of RAD's pseudowire gateway device, which supplies Ethernet, TDM and HDLC-based services over packet switched networks (PSNs). Using the vendor's patented TDM over IP technology for transparent voice and data, the IPmux-14 enables carriers and service providers to employ IP/Ethernet/MPLS networks to deliver TDM-based voice, fax, modem, and data services without compromising traditional PSTN quality. The device converts TDM user traffi c data streams from four E1/T1 ports or a serial port into IP packets or MPLS frames for transmission over the PSN via a fast Ethernet uplink.
