Networking specialists NETGEAR and NetWorld Systems tackle business market with ProSafe

<p>Sydney, Australia (February 12, 2007) – NETGEAR (Nasdaq: NTGR) today announced the appointment of newly launched business unit, NetWorld Systems, as a distribution partner to open up new opportunities in the channel for NETGEAR’s ProSafe business range.</p>
<p>Networking specialist NetWorld Systems is the sister business unit of highly successful security specialist Firewall Systems. The new business unit will distribute networking products from NETGEAR, Force10 and Accellion, Aruba, Avocent and Exinda to resellers throughout Australia. NetWorld Systems will initially concentrate on promoting NETGEAR’s ProSafe business switch and wireless range to its existing stable of resellers.</p>
<p>“Firewall Systems’ success in the Australian market under the leadership of Scott Frew and Nick Verykios has been phenomenal,” said Sue Ponder, director of retail and distribution for NETGEAR. “They have channelled their experiences at LAN Systems and Firewall Systems into creating NetWorld Systems, to add value to the enterprise market.</p>

<p>NETGEAR’s ProSafe range delivers the functionality, reliability, security and ease-of-use at the edge of networks which enterprises need from their switching. The NetWorld Systems team will throw their expertise in providing specialist systems and value-add to the enterprise market behind NETGEAR’s ProSafe range.</p>
<p>NetWorld Systems will hold a roadshow in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in the first week of March to introduce resellers to vendors. NETGEAR will be working closely with NetWorld Systems over the coming months to ensure new resellers are up to speed with the reliability and flexibility of its ProSafe range.</p>
<p>The NETGEAR ProSafe business switch range is optimally suited to organisations of up to 500 people. Government departments, the education sector and private corporations have been using the NETGEAR ProSafe range in Australia since 2004.</p>
