SurfControl has released two enhancements for its SurfControl E-Mail Filter that allow employees to review emails isolated as suspect, and give IT managers less to do.
The end-user spam management tool would assist corporate information flow by reducing false positives — or email erroneously identified as spam, SurfControl technical manager, Richard Cullen, said. The report central tool would give IT managers in remote locations the reporting abilities available at head office. Using the new tools, designated employees would receive a daily email to inform them that the system has isolated suspect spam email. “By extending this responsibility to the end-user, employees were assured of receiving all business critical email,” Cullen said. IT managers on the road will be able to automate the scheduling, running and distribution of email management and spam reports to a customised list of recipients.
