Storage and networking show heads to Melbourne

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) will make its way to Melbourne for its third annual Storage Networking World conference next year. The previous shows have been held in Sydney.

Project director for SNIA A/NZ Storage Networking World 2007, Patricia Calleja, said Melbourne was a huge marketplace which was often overlooked.

"In this region, delegates predominantly tend not to travel from state to state to attend events. So with that in mind, we are taking the event to them," she said.

Calleja said exhibitor targets would be similar to those in 2006, with up to 40 companies participating. Likewise, the association has forecast attendance in Melbourne will reach 1000; similar to that recorded in Sydney this year.

Calleja could not confirm speakers at this stage as the call for papers will be done mid-January.

Storage Networking World will be held on 28 August 2007.
