CA has promoted New Zealand channel manager, George Hladilo, to the newly created role of channel sales director.
Hladilo will be stationed locally and is responsible for looking after the security and storage software vendor's channel partner relations in both regions.
"In the basic storage and security markets we have got quite a strong channel. I will look at bringing new products to our partners such as Message Manager, which can leverage off our existing skills, abilities and relationships but create new revenue streams," he said.
"We are looking to build on the framework we have got to make a wider range of products and services available to partners." Current CA resellers include Commander and Fujitsu.
Hladilo will work alongside the director of channel and marketing, Scott Caulfield, and director of alliances, Jim Catt, and report to channel and alliances director, Michael Bosnar.
Further down the track, Hladilo plans to introduce target incentives and rebates. He will also be reviewing the vendor's partners and the markets they play into to see how CA can better enable them.
"We are actually in our planning stage now and there are a lot of things that we are looking to roll out to the local market. These are being spearheaded by the global focus CA has on its partners and the programs, resources and tools that we are making available," Hladilo said. "What we are working on is how we best leverage those and apply them in a way that makes sense to the local market."
