Security distributor, Aquion, is turning its attention to enterprise-focused resellers to help fill out the partner model for its new vulnerability management offering.
The company in August sealed an agreement with US vendor, nCircle Network Security, that would see it distribute the nCircle IP360 enterprise security product suite.
Since then Aquion has trained three high end consulting firms that specialize in the banking/finance/government sectors, but is now looking at the same number of security-focused resellers to complete its channel, Acquion's business development manager, Audrey Lyon, said.
Lyon said some of the consulting companies, which she did not name, were pure play security services specialists; not product companies. She said ideally they would work alongside resellers who have product capabilities and strong account relationships. Dovetailing these two qualities was important in the delivery of the product to customers.
nCircle IP360, which is Common Criteria certified at EAL level 3, targets the pro-active network security market. It is an appliance that scans networks for vulnerability and provides reports on risks profiles and security performance of the network over time. "nCircle enables enterprises to measure, manage and reduce network risk," she said.
Aquion also distribute security products from PGP Corporation and Digital Persona.
