NetOpt has signed a distribution agreement with US-based software vendor, StompSoft. The deal will see the Brisbane-based company take on its whole range, which includes PC BackUp, Recover Lost Data, DriveWasher, Digital File Shredder Pro, Registry Repair, Digital Vault and Portable Vault.
Business development manager, Rick Nand, said the new products would allow it to enter market sectors it had not previously tapped into.
"We had some holes in our security offering. This takes us into PC back up and data recovery," he said. "Going forward, we want to focus on the small business and consumer market and these products definitely fit in with our strategy."
Nand said he would look to offer bundled protection suites within the StompSoft range that could include Recover Lost Data and the Digital File Shredder Pro. He is also looking for more resellers that play into the SMB and SOHO market.
Nand was currently formulating a point-based rewards system that would be launched in Q1 next year. Resellers that achieved certain target levels would be offered cash backs and further discounts.
The rewards system would be central to complementary products of the StompSoft range, such as the Migo mobility software, he said.
