Security software vendor, GFi, has built a new portal offering partner sales and technical training.
The Partner Relationship Management (PRM) portal has been integrated with CRM provider Salesforce.com. The online training sessions are based on nine applications - Gfi MailEssentials, MailSecurity, MailAchiever, Faxmaker, LANguard, EventsManager, EndPointSecurity, Network ServerMonitor and WebMonitor.
Regional manager, Michael Early, said the training sales sessions would include interactive tutorials, real world selling scenarios and tips on uncovering business processes.
"It helps familiarise partners with our solutions and how they solve problems for customers," he said. "Our target is to make partners aware and get them selling all nine solutions. If they are trained across the range then there will be more sales results."
Gold dealers must have a minimum of two technical and two sales certified staff, while Silver partners need to have one of each. All partners will have access to sales tools, presentations and marketing initiatives. GFi has about 600 resellers.
The PRM portal will offer gold and silver partners access to sales leads and contract renewals. They can also register deals they are tendering for.
"The portal was one way of generating more traction with partners," Early said. "We are just trying to give them as much information as possible so they have all the tools to sell the product."
