WhiteGold Solutions is on the hunt for more resellers to deal in its Barracuda Networks security products.
The Sydney-based distributor currently shares the market with Melbourne's ChannelWorx. Managing director, Dominic Whitehand, said there were about 100 resellers selling the vendor's products locally.
"We are looking for more resellers, particularly those who are security focused or have an interest in security," he said.
Whitehand said the distributor was also looking for those who had customers disillusioned with the pricing model of similar solutions, typically worked out on a cost-per-user model.
Barracuda's spam and instant messaging firewall appliances are sold on a flat rate, with users charged an annual subscription of around $750 to keep updates rolling in from Barracuda's labs in the US.
"Everyone can block spam. You can go and buy it from four or five different places and, essentially, it's the same," vice-president of Asia-Pacific Sales, Niall King, said. "What's different with us, however, is the business model."
