• The multi million dollar Australian IP Communication market, which includes the integration of IM, video conferencing and unified messaging technologies for major corporations and Federal Government agencies, generated a significant spike of 30% year-over-year revenue growth in the third quarter of 2006 according to Boston based Andrew W. Davis Managing Partner of Wainhouse Research.

• Mr. Davis made the statement today when announcing that the Wainhouse Collaboration Summit would include Australia for the first time in its annual schedule next year.

The Wainhouse Collaboration Summit is recognised internationally as the leading international conference on IP communications and the merger of voice, video and web conferencing. For the past six years the globally recognised Boston Mass. Research firm has conducted its sell out events in San Francisco and Berlin.

According to Mr. Davis, Australia is the largest market for audio, video, and web conferencing services in the Asia Pacific region.

The Wainhouse Collaboration Summit program will explore current and next-generation enterprise conferencing solutions and implementation strategies including video, IP Telephony, enterprise workflow applications, and collaboration portals. Recent unified communications announcements by IBM, Cisco, and Microsoft as well as those of Polycom, Tandberg, and Radvision and their impact of federal government departments such as Defence, Immigration and Trade will be addressed in sessions and workshops – as well as the growing use of IP collaboration technology in the delivery of Health services and Education.
