Asus has become an original design manufacturer of Tablet PCs and peripherals for specialist PC builder, Motion Computing.
Motion Computing regional manager, Brett Gross, said users could expect to see Asus-made units rolling off the production line in the near future.
"We brought Asus on for even greater strength and penetration so we can keep growing," he said. "Asus is going to work with us first on a new clinical system."
Despite enthusiasm for working with the hardware giant, Gross said an existing relationship with Compal Electronics was intact and the Chinese vendor would continue to produce the existing range of Motion models.
"Compal remains an integral part of the business," he said.
Motion's Tablet PCs are best known in vertical industries including healthcare, field sales and service, government and education.
Gross said that current and upcoming models would be handled through local distributor, DH Technology, best known for handling retail point-of-sale hardware systems.
