Integ Group offshoot, C4 Systems, has created two new senior management roles to help push the company beyond Queensland.
The Cisco gold partner has appointed Chris O'Connor as national professional services manager and Timothy Fulton as national sales manager.
Fulton said his role would provide a sales front end, which provides networking services to businesses that typically use products from Cisco Systems.
"We see some real opportunities in the mid-tier marketplace where businesses can't justify having a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert [CCIE] in the organisation," he said. "Those businesses will be able to tap back into C4 on an ad hoc basis."
O'Connor's role will see him act as a central point of contact for training and accreditation within the organisation.
"Cisco is having a rethink on the way the channel is structured with master specialisations in areas such as unified communications, wireless, security, LAN and WAN," Fulton said of the role. "Chris will ensure we have the capability, in terms of growth and training, and have the right people at all times."
Fulton said C4 was trying to build its profile in Queensland and NSW, with an eye on branching out into other states after mid-year.
"We want to build up the business so that budding networking engineers either see their career with Cisco or us," he said. "We want to be seen as the employer of choice for that kind of technical skill set."
Prior to his role with C4, Fulton was an equity partner in Touchbase Communications, holding the title of European sales director. O'Connor, meanwhile, worked at Data#3 where he rose to the level of Queensland services manager.
