Datacom Continues Australian Expansion with New Executive Director

<p>Former Head of P and O Global IT to Lend Expertise and Experience at Large ANZ Systems Provider</p>
<p>Sydney Australia – 12th October 2006 - Datacom, the largest independent, professional IT services provider in Australasia, today announced the appointment of Mr Jonathan Ladd to the board of Datacom Australia as a non executive director.</p>
<p>Jonathan is well known to the Australian, and indeed global, IT market after his long and successful career at P&amp;O, starting in 1995 as IT group general manager for Australia, rising to global CIO in 2001. He left in 2004 due to a lifestyle choice regarding the large travel requirement.</p>
<p>Commenting on the appointment, Datacom Australia CEO and board member Michael Browne said, “While Datacom was initially formed in New Zealand, it has grown over 40 years to be a true Australasian business. Of paramount importance to us is the strong footprint we now have in Australia with a wide range of customers in government, industry and IT. Recent acquisitions and major contract wins for our services and call centre businesses make it the ideal time to expand the skill and experience set of our local board. I am very pleased to have a person of Jonathan’s calibre on our board to assist us achieve the next of our planned growth.”</p>
<p>Since leaving P&amp;O Jonathan has had his own business; Star Services as a vehicle to supply the market with strategy, technology, advisory and review services. Included was advice and review to Gartner re their Executive Program in Sydney and Melbourne.</p>
