Juniper Networks has compiled a selection of pre-packaged QuickStart services that aim to make it easier for J-Partners to sell and support its new branch office solutions.
The vendor's branch office strategy consists of standard-based application acceleration, IP telephony, routing and security technologies. A/NZ channel director, Sander Dales, said the complementary services offerings, which were due to launch by Christmas, would help partners roll out first customer deployments more efficiently.
"As our partners have been progressing into these new technology spaces, we felt services support was an area we could add value," he said. "We are not looking to take services away from partners. We just want to make Juniper expertise more accessible for project implementation."
There are three key integrated services being launched. The Comprehensive Juniper Enterprise Transition is designed to help partners move a customer's requirements from one technology set to Juniper's. Those dealing with a new technology area or scenario for the first time will be supported with Firewall remote configuration assistance. There's also a new Branch Office Firewall QuickStart service, which arms partners with the tools to successfully hook up and manage remote or geographically dispersed deployments.
"These help to reduce the risks involved when deploying the first project," Dales said. "Partners will be able to get deployments done more reliably and it will help them execute into those spaces as they get to grips with the technology."
As part of its branch strategy, Juniper has also announced the J4350 and J6350, J-series branch routers. The products offer gigabit Ethernet connectivity and will support Avaya gateway and telephony modules. They will be available in Q1 next year.
