Cellnet has given its reseller portal a major facelift, introducing a raft of account and order management features.
Enhancements include a facility to view orders and track consignments, lodge and monitor return requests and back orders, and automatic delivery scheduling.
Cellnet CIO, Greg Moore, said customers could previously browse product lists, create and submit an order online, but were unable to monitor its progress.
"Before you would click to submit an order and it just disappeared through the Ether. A reseller would have to ring Cellnet to get their order status," he said. "Now they're able to trace it right through to the point of delivery."
For resellers who purchase similar products frequently, Cellnet has created an option to save shopping carts and favourite lists. It has also introduced product list formats and columns that can be customised.
Another key improvement is the ability to download invoices and reconcile unallocated payments.
Other features include the ability to add, edit and manage individual user lists, while accessing multiple accounts. Registered resellers can sign on via email address rather than an account number.
Moore said the new functionality was a response to repeated customer requests for more online information. The distributor conducted a series of reseller focus groups to determine which features were most in demand. The latest improvements represent the first of several enhancement phases planned over the next 12-18 months, he said.
The revamped website was given a soft launch on July 10, and is currently being showcased at the distributor's Innov8 road show.
