Com Tech has been named exclusive integration partner in Australia for US-based Security Dynamics' (SDI) collection of security, authentication and smart card technologies.
Simon Naylor, Security Dynamics' vice president Asia-Pacific, said that the company was actively seeking to expand its reach throughout all business sectors in Australia where there is interest in electronic transactions and trading.
"We felt Com Tech was a perfect fit for SDI given their presence and their existing data security expertise in both Australia and New Zealand."
Com Tech managing director David Shein said Security Dynamics currently dominates the fledgling data security and authentication markets and possesses a powerful product portfolio.
"SDI is the world's leader in network enterprise and data security technologies with more than 70 per cent market share," Shein said.
He also emphasised the timeliness of the deal given the number of enquiries from the user community regarding data security solutions.
Com Tech now becomes a member of SDI's SecurPartner Alliance.
"The relationship we have with Security Dynamics was born of the need to meet user requirements for security and especially authentication," according to Bob Hey, Com Tech's Internet security manager.
