HP has launched an ISV Elite Club aiming to assist local players expand and grow into in the local and international market.
ISV business development manager, Gareth Sutton, said it was designed to help local ISVs further drive growth beyond the local market. The program offers ISVs technical, networking, business planning and marketing support as well as access to solution centres, developers, product managers and presales staff.
The vendor will also fund activities allowing Elite Club members to network with other HP partners across the Asia-Pacific region. "We are helping to leverage the opportunities in the Asia-Pacific by connecting ISVs with local partners to help develop a strategy across that local market," Sutton said.
Membership to the program will be limited to 10 ISVs. Current signups are IBA Health, Infomaster, iSheriff, TechnologyOne and Tier-3. Partners selected to join the club need to have customer experience in the local market, particularly within the health care and security sector, possess a development of applications based on HP Integrity server platform, and the ability to grow further.
One of the benefits of being an Elite Club member was access to HP's network of partners globally, Tier-3 CEO, Peter Woollacott, said.
"At the Partners Connect in Action conference in Asia in June we were introduced to other local ISVs and resellers that we could not have accessed on our own," Woollacott said.
The club would also allow Tier-3 to work more closely with HP on accessing common customers that have an interest in both technology sets. "In turn we provided HP with a capability they don't have with our Huntsman technology and they are providing us with a brand," he said.
