Optima pumps up its retail offering with security software from BullGuard

<p>Optima Technology Solutions (ASX:OPI), the leading Australian computer manufacturer, has joined with BullGuard to build anti-virus, firewall, spam filter and online backup tools into all Optima retail offerings.</p>
<p>BullGuard specialises in user-friendly PC and mobile security solutions. The company’s products will be available as a standard component of Optima PCs and notebooks from October 3.</p>
<p>Optima Product Marketing Manager, Ole Mortensen, explained, “this new bundle offers great value for the end-user, with in-built protection from external threats from day one of purchase.</p>
<p>“BullGuard’s business model is well matched to Optima in its responsiveness and ability to meet Optima’s needs with its comprehensive product range.”</p>
<p>The bundle includes 90 days free anti-virus protection via BullGuard’s Internet Security suite. The firewall protection guards the Internet connection, the spam filter rids the inbox of unsolicited mail and the unique online backup tool schedules automatic data backups. BullGuard’s sophisticated package of security products includes live updates and 24-hour support to maintain the integrity of a PC, no matter the threat.</p>
<p>James Rhodes, BullGuard’s Territory Manager for Australia/New Zealand, states “the signing of Optima as one of our system builder partners is an extremely exciting development for BullGuard in Australia. We believe BullGuard Internet Security will complement the high standard of offerings already available from Optima.”</p>
