Hardware distributor, Comsol, has recruited Gavin Green to the newly created role of national sales manager.
National account manager, Joe Nati, has left to pursue other interests within the healthcare industry and will not be replaced. Green said his new role reflected Comsol's change in approach to resellers.
"The roles are quite different and it has come about because of the re-focusing of Comsol's efforts," he said.
His first point of focus is to identify new partner and marketing opportunities while expanding the sales team in its new Melbourne and Queensland branches. They will open before Christmas. The company is also exploring the possibility of a New Zealand office.
"I am looking to get the new strategy out there and create a different range of partnerships," he said. "We will also be addressing educational issues and how we can make KVM a more strategic part of our partners' business."
Green is currently developing a partner program, which includes financing options and loyalty incentives. Comsol is currently recruiting business development managers for its Melbourne and Queensland branches.
Before joining the company, Green held various channel management roles with IBM Software Group and its global channel division for four years. Prior to that, he also held channel development and management roles with itX and Sealcorp.
