<p>Teradata Delivers Linux for Enterprise-Class Data Warehouses</p>
<p>Teradata, a division of NCR, announced today that it has shipped an enhanced version of the Teradata database running on the 64-bit version of the SUSE Linux Enterprise from Novell. It is available globally for enterprise-class data warehouses.</p>
<p>Teradata now delivers the same enterprise-class scalability, availability and manageability with the 64-bit SUSE Linux Enterprise operating system, as with the Windows operating system and its own UNIX operating system, UNIX MP-RAS.</p>

<p>Teradata, a division of NCR, announced that Gartner, Inc. has published its 2006 Data Warehouse Database Management System Magic Quadrant which reports that the Teradata warehouse suite is positioned in the leaders quadrant based on the “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision” of its data warehouse implementations (Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse Database Management Systems, 2006 – Donald Feinberg and Mark Beyer).</p>
