Vodafone has developed a Business Channel Portal providing tools and resources for its mobility resellers.
Business solutions sales manager, Jason Murray, said the portal would help dealers gain a better understanding of available mobility products and services.
"We asked our partners what they needed to better enable and empower them to sell mobility," he said. "The portal is a central source of information for resellers. It is like the glue in the middle that brings channel and customer into alignment."
The portal offers resellers access to product information, fact sheets, price comparisons with other telco offerings, advertising material, coverage tools and a telco dictionary. It also includes a proposal builder, which suggests products and data plans.
Resellers can also access products and services such as mobile broadband, mobile email, business caps and plans, international roaming capabilities and data bundles combining Internet access, email and picture messaging on 3G or GPRS networks.
To access the portal, resellers need to become a Vodafone certified partner. The telco currently has 850 resellers.
"It's all about helping our partners to add incremental products and revenue streams," Murray said. "In many cases it will double or triple the margins they normally make on a converged device if they are utilising the portal to sell mobility alongside it."
Throughout September and October, Vodafone is offering a 32-inch Acer LCD TV to all partners that sell 10 or more Business Cap Single connections on 24-month contracts.
