Systems integrator, Agreon, has gained Sun Microsystems Identity Management (IDM) Software Elite Partner status.
Business development manager, Antony Krilis, said the top tier status would help bolster the integrator's reputation for identity management software expertise. Agreon has been a Sun partner since 2003.
"One of our larger partners is Sun and we have a sole focus in identity management," he said. "It was a natural requirement and we had the critical mass to achieve this status."
The integrator currently has 17 locally Sun certified identity management software specialists. Its customer base includes government, utilities, telecommunications and financial services sectors.
Krilis said some of the benefits associated with gaining elite status includex more training, sales and joint marketing initiatives.
"We want to be recognised in the reseller and enterprise customer community as having the expertise in Sun's identity suite," he said. "We will be participating with Sun in customer initiatives and sessions to debrief them on the benefits of IDM."
Agreon joins EDS, CSC and Accenture in the elite status ranks. The program was established for Sun Partner Advantage members that have developed the technical knowledge and the ability to deploy identity management software for enterprise customers.
