Eureka Pacific has picked up the Australia/New Zealand rights to exclusively distribute network storage products from Lanner Electronics.
The first product available to local resellers will be the Lanner NSO4-4100. Currently being tested by the storage distributor, the four-bay NAS product has a built-in DHCP and FTP server, and supports RAID 1 and 5. The product also includes backup software from FalconStor.
The product should be widely available to the channel in late August. Eureka managing director, Alexei Mazin, said it can be sold as a whitebox for systems integrators or resellers.
"Resellers can then add their value to that," he said.
Mazin said the NS04-4100 was ideal for the SMB market.
"We have already had interest from small business such as photographers, through to accountancy firms who need to backup data but cannot afford high-end solutions," he said.
The next Lanner product Eureka intends to ship is a 16-bay dual SCSI unit. It is due for release later in the year.
