Pittwater sees Merit in CRM deal

Melbourne-based Merit Technology has landed a deal to deploy a CRM solution for Pittwater Council.

Managing director, Campbell Angus, said it was a strategic win for the company as it planned to enhance its involvement with NSW councils. Merit previously deployed a CRM solution for Marrickville Council early last year.

Angus said that experience helped its cause. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Merit replaced the council's current in-house CRM system - which logs, monitors and automates internal workflows for enquiries and complaints. Angus said a key requirement was integration with existing applications including Technology One's proclaim rates and property system, Avand's DataWorks document management solution, and MapInfo's GIS and confirm asset management system.

The deployment is expected to be completed in November. Merit is looking to hire additional sales and support staff in NSW to continue its expansion into the region.
