ISS makes Canberra a full-time concern

ISS has appointed a federal government specialist to spearhead its business in Canberra, with Mike Doering taking on the newly created role of ACT regional manager.

A Canberra native, he has spent the past decade working in IT, most recently focused on security and defence within Commander's enterprise communications division.

In his new role, Doering will work with about 12 Canberra-based partners, helping them push deeper into government and enterprise.

"Having worked in the channel for the past five or six years I am very aware of what partners require.... training, seminars, product updates," he said.

Although ISS sells entirely through the channel, Doering will meet end users to ensure the delivery of products is running smoothly.

Doering will also offer assistance in the tendering process, which is a key component in dealing with government.

"I have enormous experience writing tenders and I will offer my services to all partners if they need the input," he said
