Achieva gets memory boost

Achieva has struck a distribution deal with Taiwanese-based flash storage vendor, Silicon Power.

Its Touch range of USB flash drives come in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB versions. The distributor will also carry small outline dual in-line memory (SO DIMM) and DRAM modules.

"We aim to provide what our resellers are looking for," Achieva PC and components product manager, John Cai, said. "We are comfortable with the quality of the products and I can't see them conflicting with anything else we offer."

Achieva would carry limited volumes initially, he said, but would eventually look to increase the size of its orders and range of products.

"We don't want to jump in and order big volumes at this stage," Cai said. "We do plan to add more of the vendor's products to the range, but we will wait and see how these products perform in the market first."

He said Achieva was searching for more PC and memory resellers to carry the products.
