Networking vendor, NetComm, has pumped up its partner resources, enlisting Ivo Leombruni and Leigh Jewiss as channel business development managers.
Channel sales manager, Ken Kozak, said the newly created roles would provide better support and assistance for the vendor's resellers. The new positions follow Kozak's appointment as the vendor's first channel manager in June.
"As we ramp up our business and continue to expand our presence in the marketplace, I didn't want our relationships to be reliant on a single person," Kozak said. "We want to have a stronger local presence and it makes us a lot more responsive to partner requirements."
Leombruni will be stationed in Melbourne and Jewiss in Sydney.
Kozak said both would focus on driving channel sales. They would also liaise with NetComm's head office to outline advertising opportunities, inventory and in-store training.
"We have such a broad range of products but they are not all suited to a mass merchant approach," Kozak said. "We want to ensure partner profitability by finding out what does and does not work for them."
Prior to joining NetComm, Leombruni held various sales and support roles at Palm. Jewiss' resume includes eight years of channel management at Palm.
