Systems integrator, Attain IT, has begun rolling out an Oracle identity management system at telephone counselling service, Lifeline.
The Sydney-based company won the job following a successful pitch by Oracle, its technical director, Robert Silver, said. Attain IT is an Oracle Certified Solution Partner.
The contract value was not disclosed.
"Oracle basically sold Lifeline on the benefits of its identity management suite," he said. "It then recommended us to implement the solution."
Operating as the central repository for user data, the solution marries the Oracle Identity Manager software to Microsoft Active Directory.
The rollout is Attain IT's first with the Oracle software. Its Identity Manager suite is the result of the vendor's acquisition of UK-based Thor Technologies and its Xellerate identity management software last year.
Attain IT staff had already been training on the software with Oracle prior to the Lifeline contract, Silver said.
The rollout would be finished in about 3-6 months, he said. Attain was already involved in further Oracle Identity Manager implementations, but he would not be drawn on specifics.
