New Zealand business software vendor, Greentree International, has strengthened its Australian channel with three new reseller signings in Sydney.
Existing Kiwi partner, Verde Group, established its first local office in Sydney last month.
Greentree's Perth-based mining and professional services reseller, Addax Solutions, has also opened a location, while Asia-Pacific partner, Star Accounting Solutions, has expanded its Sydney office.
Verde has appointed former Epicor Asia-Pacific managing director, Jason du Preez, to head up its Australian arm. He said the Sydney office was the first step in the company's national rollout plan.
"We have made this decision to come to Australia on an infrastructure and product basis," he said. "The product has been established here for a while. We've also built up our understanding of the mid-market."
About 60 per cent of Verde's Greentree customer sales in NZ came from the wholesale distribution sector.
Du Preez said other markets it would target locally included finance and insurance, logistics and transport and potentially education. The company was now looking for sales staff with knowledge in these market sectors.
Greentree executive director, Peter Dickinson, said it currently had 18 partners in Australia.
The vendor was still on the hunt for select implementation and development partners locally, he said.
"The expansion of our developer community really started going in the last year," he said. "We need partners to have extensive developer skills by industry sector or through additional IP."
Dickinson said areas which it had not yet broken into included government and the high-volume retail market.
