IT&T services outfit, SecureTelecom, has recruited Brian O'Rourke and Damian Worthy to generate new business in Melbourne and Adelaide.
O'Rourke was previously a senior services consultant with Fujitsu. Worthy was a business consultant with Hutchinson 3.
General manager of sales and marketing, Matthew Lovegrove, said the newly created business development roles were part of plans to build a sales force in those regions.
"We had a couple of attempts in the past but that has not been overly successful," he said. "It takes a while to find people with the right background and skills."
O'Rourke and Worthy would initially focus on contacting SMBs to expose the SecureTelecom brand, according to Lovegrove. They would also continue building the company's presence within hospitality, finance and insurance by offering technology procurement, implementation and managed services.
"We are looking to grow the business by in excess of 50 per cent this financial year. With a full team, we expect to continue growing at that rate," he said.
