Networking vendor, Linksys, has partnered with communications service provider, Soul, to provide hosted SMB communications.
Based on its new communications suite, Linksys One, the partnership will offer voice, data and video services when it is launched later this year or early in 2007.
Regional director, Graeme Reardon, said the introduction of a telco service would give the vendor's reseller network a more complete package.
"This gives us the opportunity to offer an easy-to-use and affordable communications platform to the small business market," he said.
Soul will provide the core services infrastructure including a broadband connection, data networking services and hosted applications as well as local and long-distance voice services over a single connection.
The Linksys One bundle also contains a PHM 1200 IP phone and SVR 3000 services router. The networking vendor also has a service provider relationship with IP Systems.
Reardon is now looking for more resellers servicing the small business market of 5-50 seats to get the bundle out to market.
"We are already attracting a number of different data and voice resellers who understand the flexibility, ease of installation and ongoing maintenance opportunities," he said.
Partners need to sign up to the recently launched Linksys Partner Connection program to access the website and undergo online training.
"It's a new route to market for resellers," he said. "They are not just installing a voice system; they are also looking after customer data."
