Distributor, Infotronics Software, has added DesktopStandard to its product portfolio.
Technical director, Phil Lancaster, said its integration partners had been looking for tools to help with active directory management tasks.
"DesktopStandard was a logical choice because that is the preferred tool that Microsoft consultants in the US use," he said. "It will help partners enhance deployments and management or integration projects."
The DesktopStandard range includes PolicyMaker, which allows individual configuration settings on Windows desktops to be documented and managed.
Lancaster said the products complemented its network administration software. The new range would be aimed at the corporate market.
"This policy management tool will help push out some of the products that we currently offer such as ThinPrint and Softricity," he said. "It is more suitable for tier-one and -two integrators because it removes the need for scripting, which slashes administration time."
