NSW-based distributor, Dicker Data, has appointed Chris Price as its new sales manager. His appointment follows the dismissal of Gaynor Foletti, who left last month after 12 years with the company.
The arrival of Price, who started this week, is quite a coup for the company given that he was previously employed as IBM sales manager for Ingram Micro.
He was still employed by the broad-based distributor at the time of going to press and was therefore unavailable for comment.
Managing director, David Dicker, said Price had been highly recommended and was confident that he would do a good job. In other news, an offer to buy another distributor as a way of extending geographical reach and product base is still on the table. But Dicker said the two parties were still some way apart on their valuation of the business.
