Lexmark refreshes all-in-one line of printers

Lexmark has released a series of printing products for the home and small business market, one of which it claims is the world's smallest all-in-one photo printer.

The company this week announced the X1270 ($89), X2470 ($99), X3470 ($129), P4350 ($179), X7350 ($249) and X8350 ($349) printers.

The X2470 is designed for homes, particularly tight spaces. The PictBridge compliant printer measures 14.78x11.26x6in and allows for scanning, copying and printing. Printing speeds top out at 17 pages per minute. The three-in-one printer is the successor to the company's X2350 printer.

Both the X7350 and X8350 are four-in-one devices -- adding fax capabilities to print, copy and scan. The former prints at 25 ppm, has a 50 page auto document feeder and optional networking. The X8350 allows for PC free photo editing via the LCD screen on the front. It also contains a USB port on top of the flash card slots to allow direct printing from.

With the P4350 the company has introduced an aide for the 1200x2400 ppi scanner. When users select what sized paper are to scan, the scanning plate lights up only the area on the glass plate where the scanned material needs to go. Aside from scanning, the device prints at 22 ppm for black and white jobs and is PictBridge compatible.

All printers are available now, except for the X1720 which will be available soon.
