MPA to aim Jetro at Citrix users

Jetro Platforms has appointed MPA Systems as local distributor of its CockpIT centralised applications deployment and management software platform. It will be aimed as a price play at Citrix users.

MPA managing director, Guy Goodman, said he had approached Jetro at the end of last year. The deal was finalised at CeBit Germany in mid-March.

"I approached [Jetro Asia-Pacific managing director] Michael Abel and, after several conversations, it was clear that we fitted quite well," Good man said. "There was also a basic fit of personalities."

"I think a lot of resellers will be interested in carrying it. There's a gap where people can't afford Citrix licensing and don't need everything that it provides."
