RSA Security has launched a series of incentives and rebates in conjunction with its SecurID Appliance 2.0 in an attempt to lure channel partners into promoting the new product.
The SecurID device is a rack-mountable authentication appliance which establishes the identity of users accessing business resources. It can be scaled to support 50,000 users.
Partners that stock SecurID will receive the Solutions Partner Instant Rebate from May 14. Under this agreement, resellers receive an instant 5 per cent rebate. It will only apply to partners who have completed RSA sales authorisation and technical certification.
"We want the channel to get excited with us about SecurID and one way to do that is to offer the right kind of incentives," said RSA A/NZ Sales Director, Steve Terry.
He said the rebate scheme was the first stage of an incentive plan that would eventually span the entire RSA product line.
Channel partners will also receive additional market support through RSA's deal registration program, which aims to help resellers push the product into the enterprise market.
The appliance is available now from RSA Security's sole distributor Express Data.
