Canadian networker wants to be a Diva
A decline in Eicon Networks traditional business has seen the Canadian company announce a renewed push into Australia with the launch of its Diva server product line. The move is being coordinated with Australia’s BNS Group, which will offer digital fax solutions based on Eicon’s Diva Server Platform. The platform is the key to expansion in the region, according to Eicon South Asia general manager, Chew Weng Hock, and presents opportunities for the company in fax, unified messaging, voice and speech conferencing. Applying its global partner program would see Eicon reach out to software developers and system integrators. Hock said the challenge would be in persuading developers to migrate their solutions to work with Eicon’s products.
Clear2Pay acquires Sienna Technologies
Clear2Pay has signed an agreement to acquire electronic delivery and payment provider, Sienna Technologies, backed by venture capital firm, Technology Venture Partners (TVP). The Sienna products will complement Clear2Pay’s PayPark component-based payment infrastructure for banks with components to service the full range of retail, SME, corporate and institutional clients. Co-founder of Sienna, Warren Gardiner, said his company had been supplying large financial institutions with technology for vital and core processes such as payments for about 10 years. “With the acquisition by Clear2Pay we have a sensible and solid basis, both financially as well as in terms of industry expertise, to continue to invest in secure payments solutions and technology,” Gardiner said. Sienna’s client base in Australia includes National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, St George and the Reserve Bank of Australia.
