Motherboard and graphic card vendor, Albatron Australia, has parted company with AMI Computer Services in favour of new distribution partnerships with Also Technology and Impact Systems.
Albatron opened its first Australian office in Queensland earlier this year.
Sales director, George Ibraham, said the company wanted a fresh start in the local market.
The vendor is also looking to establish a service centre and hopes to open a NSW office later in the year that would also service Victoria.
Also Technology general manager, Ming Ho, said the distributor began discussing the possibility of signing with Albatron in December before making serious moves in February.
"Albatron makes a good quality product but it wasn't successful in the past because it didn't find the right company to deal with," she said.
Impact Systems managing director, Peter Agamalis, said product quality, pricing and warranty terms were the main attractions in forging the Albatron deal.
"Albatron was seeking new opportunities to expand market share," he said. "It has a strong focus on brand recognition, which sits well with us because we are looking to enhance our position in the distribution market."
Agamalis is looking for service integrators, resellers and sub-distributors to take the range to market.
"This is our first motherboard and graphics distributorship so we are not trying to make any big waves," he said.
Also and Impact both distribute MSI motherboards and graphics cards.
